Maveli

Something that I've done for last year's Onam. It's an illustration of Maveli (Mahabali), a mythical character from India. People believe him as a noble king, who ruled the land Kerala centuries ago. The myth says he's immortal, and now lives in Patala- the land beneath the earth surface. It is believed that once in an year he comes to visit his people in Kerala, and the day is celebrated as Onam.
